How are your assessments delivered/administered?

A: For smaller clients, JTe Assessments offers full administrative services to clients, free of charge. For larger clients who wish to have their own administrative interface, we set up a custom Virtual Assessment Center where all candidates, employees, job match patterns and other assessment tools are managed.

How much do the reports cost?

A: Unlike other assessments on the market, all reports generated from our assessments are included.

Are assessments useful beyond the hiring process?

A: Yes! While assessments are used extensively in the hiring process, they are also indispensable to companies who need to more about what motivates individual employees, how to coach and train them, how to manage them, how to effectively promote them, how to build effective teams and more!

How are your assessments administered?

A: JTe assessments are delivered online over the Internet. The assessment participant will receive a link (via email), along with a unique username and password, to a secure website where they will take the assessment. The results (or 'reports') are then automatically generated and electronically delivered to whomever the administrator designates to receive them.

Is administration difficult?

A: Administration is quick and easy! It takes only moments to assign each assessment and auto-generation tools are available if you frequently administer a lot of assessments.

Does someone from my company have to be present during administration of the assessments?

A: No. Assessments are taken by participants in the comfort at their own environment (i.e. anywhere they have access to an Internet-connected computer). Results are securely generated and delivered per the instructions of the administrator.

How long do the surveys take?

A: Depending on the type of assessment, surveys can typically be filled out anywhere from 15 min. to 1 hr.

Are the assessments timed?

A: While we provide you with an estimated time of completion for each assessment, participants are never "timed" with respect to how long they take to fill out the assessment(s).

Are the results available to the employee or perspective applicant who has taken the assessment?

A: The results of your assessments belong to you and are released only upon your specified instructions. With respect to assessment participants, many administrators provide them with their 'Individual Report' which is designed to be shared with and read by the participant.

When will I receive the results of the assessments?

A: With every assessment, reports are generated and electronically delivered immediately thereafter to a recipient designated by the administrator (eg. administrator themselves, their JTe representative, designated manager, the assessment participant, etc).

Are the reports difficult to read/interpret?

A: Unlike many other assessments on the market, no interpretation is required of the results – they are straightforward and accurate. No expensive consulting fees are required for further understanding.

What is a Job-Match and how does it work?

A: With many of our assessments, a Job-Match function is provided. It takes the answers or results provided by an assessment participant and displays them (or matches them) to a pre-existing "ideal" profile (or job). The "ideal" profile is stored with your online administrative tools and is created by someone who knows the position well, or is created using your top performers as the "benchmark".

What kinds of reports do the assessments generate and what do they look like?

A: Reports for hiring, training, coaching, retention, job placement and more are available across different assessments. For each assessment listed in our product list, you will find a "Reports" section that describes the kinds of reports that you will receive, along with a sample from each report.

How can I get sample reports?

What is a "distortion factor"?

A: Provided in some of our reports, a distortion factor reflects the reliability of the responses provided by the taker. A higher number (e.g. 9 out of 10) indicates a greater level of candor in the answers provided by the participant.

Are assessments legal?

A: Yes. The Dept. of Labor states that assessments are the best way to determine employee suitability in an objective fashion.

Are assessments ethical?

A: The Dept. of Labor states that assessments are the best way to ensure fairness and neutrality and eliminate bias in hiring with respect to age, race and gender.

Will I lose good employees/candidates if our company implements an assessment program?

A: Studies have shown that almost every applicant/employee does not object to participating in assessments. In fact it is often expected!

Are your assessments valid?

A: Profile International assessments have been validated to be age-blind, gender-blind and ethnicity-blind. The assessments measure only those factors relevant to the assessment objectives. Profiles International is a member of the Association of Test Publishers.
